This steampunk brooch, has been created with mica powder and resin. The focal point of this piece is the 'Vampire's Wife' green centre, Surrounded by copper and brassy tones, and accented with beautiful rusty red mica mini 'stones'.
The brooch measures 4.5cm point to point, and is backed with a secure pin, to ensure safe wearing. This brooch would make the perfect addition to any coat, scarf, or hat, or cosplay outfit, with it's Victorian feel.
Resin is a really versatile medium to work with, it can be used to encase something beautiful, like a simple flower or pine cone, which often needs no other additions to make a stunning piece of jewellery, or decorative item for the home. Metal leaf can add a touch of luxury. Alternatively the extensive range of colour pigments can make the resin itself the focus of the piece.
